TOOTH IMPLANTS AVAILABLE AT DENTAL FRATERNITY

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made of titanium, which is used to replace a missing tooth. The dentist inserts the implant into the jawbone, where the titanium fuses with the bone. Just like before the tooth root, now the implant creates a stable base for the crown, which will be the visible part of the new tooth.
Dental implants are very small, usually about 7-10 mm long and only 3-5 mm wide at the root.
It is widely believed that dental implants are currently the most effective method of restoring missing teeth due to the numerous benefits they offer patients.
At Dental Fraternity clinics there are specialists – implantologists who, with attention to detail, guide patients through a multi-stage treatment process. Its length, on the other hand, is individual and depends on the clinical case.

HIGH QUALITY DENTAL IMPLANTS

Implants are an effective way to replace missing teeth. It significantly improves the life quality of people affected by anodontia.
By placing an implant in place of a missing tooth, the tooth can be reconstructed. The advantage of this solution is no need to grind adjacent teeth (as in case of prosthetic bridges), high aesthetics and “longevity”.
At Dental Fraternity we work with the best specialists in the field of implantology, who treat patients using renowned implantology systems such as Global D or Nobel Biocare.
During the procedure, we use the phenomenon of osteointegration, which allows us to replace the tooth as a result of the fusion of the implant with the bone. This provides long-term stability and a fully natural solution because the implants function in the mouth as close as possible to their natural, anatomical counterpart.
A single implant:
Implant replaces the missing tooth root, leaving the adjacent healthy teeth untouched. It acts as a support for the crown by transferring biting forces to the bone, preventing atrophy. In the case of an alternative method of filling a missing tooth with a prosthetic bridge, two healthy teeth adjacent to the missing tooth must be grinded to hold the bridge. In addition, bone atrophy can occur because the bridge does not transfer biting forces to it.
Therefore, our specialists strongly recommend modern implant treatment.
Implant bridges:
The advantage of implant-supported bridges is that the healthy teeth adjacent to the missing ones remain unharmed. This allows for a long-term evaluation of the performed treatment and the preservation of full and healthy bone tissue. In addition, the implant acts as a support for the crown by transferring all the forces generated by biting to the bone, which prevents resorption, in other words atrophy, which is natural in case of tooth absence.

BENEFITS OF THE SOLUTION

No need to grind adjacent teeth; short treatment time; solution for years to come

Praca protetyczna allon4

ANODONTIA TREATMENT - ALL ON 4 / ALL ON 6

ALL ON 4 is a technique for restoring teeth in one day, usually without additional procedures like bone regeneration. On the day of the procedure, 4 or 6 implants are placed in patients maxilla and/or mandible. On the day of the procedure, patient leaves the clinic with full teeth (a temporary prosthetic bridge screwed to the implants). After 6 months, the temporary bridge is replaced with a permanent bridge.

BENEFITS OF THE SOLUTION

full smile in one day; impressive aesthetic effect; restoration of bite function

Implant zygomatyczny

ANODONTIA TREATMENT - ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS (WITH BAD BONE CONDITIONS)

Zygomatic implants, which are anchored to the zygomatic bone, avoid complicated and lengthy bone grafting procedures.
This type of implant provides alternative treatment options for acute jawbone resorption without bone grafts, and has an exceptional success rate. It allows for the immediate placement of a temporary crown after the surgical procedure. Multipoint cortical anchorage and a proven apex design provide high primary stability and allow for the reconstruction of the dental arch in one day.

BENEFITS OF THE SOLUTION

Tooth reconstruction without sinus lift and bone grafting; no need to wear a prosthesis; short treatment time, max 4 months

Proteza na implantach

IMPLANT BRIDGES

In the case of several missing teeth next to each other, an implant-supported prosthetic bridge can be used. Under special conditions and careful analysis of the individual case, it is possible to reduce the number of implants inserted and rebuild the lost dentition with a prosthetic bridge attached to the implants. Then the crowns supported on implants are pillars, and the others attached to them are the span of the bridge.

BENEFITS OF THE SOLUTION

Possibility of reconstructing several teeth on 2 implants; no need to grind pillar teeth; prevention of bone atrophy

FAQ

WHAT ARE THE PRICES OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED SERVICES?

The price of a traditional implant procedure ranges from 3,500 to 4,000 PLN (the price does not include prosthetic restoration, like for example a crown on the implant), depending on the implant system. Prices for "All On 4" / "All On 6" procedures and zygomatic implants are set individually depending on the patient's bone and occlusal conditions based on the consultation and the result of the CT scan of the jaw. For example, prices of "All On 4" procedure start at 24000 PLN for the surgical part and 18000 PLN for the prosthetic part.

DOES THE IMPLANTATION HURT?

Absolutely not. Implants are inserted under local anaesthesia, during which the patient feels nothing throughout the whole procedure.

WHAT IS THE COST OF IMPLANT PLACEMENT?

The cost of the implant procedure ranges from 3,500 PLN to 4,000 PLN.

HOW LONG DOES THE IMPLANT INTEGRATE WITH THE BONE? AFTER HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO CEMENT THE CROWN ON THE IMPLANT?

In the mandible, the implant heals about 3-4 months, in the maxilla, about 6 months. After this time, we uncover the implant for about 2 weeks, place a gum modeling screw, and then take impressions for prosthetic crowns.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO TO WORK AFTER IMPLANTATION?

After the procedure, during which we place one implant, the patient can go to work the very next day.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IMPLANTS?

Patient should take care of the implant the same as of the rest of his own teeth. Proper oral and gum hygiene should be maintained. For this purpose, the use of special dental irrigators and dental floss is recommended. Additionally, after the procedure, it is recommended to purchase a special toothbrush with soft bristles as well as use mouthwashes and toothpaste with an antibacterial substance - chlorhexidine.

WHEN IS A CROWN PLACED ON AN IMPLANT?

After the period of integrating implant with bone and a prosthetic procedure involving uncovering, the doctor decides whether the implant can be loaded and a prosthetic crown placed. This is usually between 4 and 7 months after implantation. However, there are circumstances that may determine a longer process of loading the implant.

WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?

A dental implant is a titanium screw that is screwed into the bone of the maxilla or mandible by an implantologist. It is a substitute for the tooth root allowing to replace missing teeth. Implants are also used when a patient is completely toothless.

WHAT ARE THE INDICATIONS FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Typically, the indications for dental implants are:
- tooth loss due to carious lesions or injuries,
- failure to develop tooth buds,
- inability to make prosthetic bridges, when patient does not want to opt for removable dentures (with complete toothlessness)

HOW PREPARATION FOR THE DENTAL IMPLANT PROCEDURE LOOK LIKE?

During the first visit, a medical interview is conducted along with a 3D image - computed tomography. On its basis, doctor is able to assess bone and teeth condition, height of the alveolar process, distance from the bottom of nasal cavity or course of the inferior alveolar nerve. In addition, a clinical examination is performed in which the doctor evaluates tooth mobility and positions, soft tissues and edentulous areas. After eliminating contraindications for implantation, such as all comorbidities and medications taken on a regular basis, implantologist proceeds to perform the procedure.

HOW DOES THE PLACEMENT OF DENTAL IMPLANTS PROCEED?

Placement of one or more implants is usually done under local anesthesia. Implant placement involves preparing the area for the implant by the doctor and then inserting it. Place where doctor wants to insert the implant is made with special drills, thanks to which a special hole for the implant is created, the so-called osteotomy. The implant is screwed in with the appropriate force that ensures stabilization, and at the same time does not cause damage and overheating of the bone. The implant covered by the gum is then sutured. After 10 days there is a check-up and removal of stitches and only after a certain period of time (3 - 6 months) we begin with the prosthetic part. The entire implant procedure takes about 20 minutes, and the patient does not experience any unpleasant sensations during or after the procedure.

DENTAL IMPLANTS - WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE TEMPORARY RESTORATIONS?

For patients who have implants inserted, it is possible to use a splint, which compensates for the missing teeth. It's a clear splint made in the lab along with a restored tooth to mask its absence. In some cases there is a possibility to make a temporary crown in the office or lab.

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR IMPLANTATION?

These are the contraindications for implant treatment:
- pregnancy,
- age under 18 years old, due to being in the bone growth phase,
- advanced stage of osteoporosis,
- unregulated diabetes,
- blood clotting disorders,
- epilepsy,
- cancers,
- AIDS,
- alcoholism.

WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDATIONS AFTER PLACING DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Immediately after the treatment, make a cold compress. Take painkillers and an antibiotic as prescribed by the doctor. You can start eating and drinking after you regain feeling in the anaesthetized area. Avoid hot foods and drinks, choose liquid food, cold non-carbonated drinks. In the first three days, talk as little as possible, in addition, do not drink alcohol, limit smoking. Avoid physical activity, give up saunas, tanning salons or swimming pools. Rinse the mouth carefully, in addition, you can use a mouthwash recommended by your dentist. Brush your teeth with a soft toothbrush in the post-implant area, do not manipulate the tongue around the implant.

HOW DO CHECK-UP VISITS AND HEALING TIME AFTER DENTAL IMPLANTS PLACEMENT LOOK LIKE?

The first follow-up visit after implantation takes place after about 7 - 10 days. During this visit, doctor removes stitches and checks the post-treatment site to see if it is healing properly. After that, patient appears after 3 ( in the case of the mandible) or 6 (in the case of the maxilla) months for further prosthetic treatment.

WHAT ARE ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS?

Zygomatic implants are titanium screws that are several times longer than standard implants. They are intended for patients who cannot have traditional implants possible due to bone atrophy. They are therefore implanted directly into the zygomatic bones. These implants significantly shorten surgical procedures and do not require bone regeneration, which is often needed with standard implants.

WHAT ARE THE INDICATIONS FOR IMPLANTATION?

The main indications for zygomatic implants are complete toothlessness, failure of inserting standard implants, failure of attempted bone grafting or reconstructions.

HOW DOES PREPARING FOR THE PLACEMENT OF ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS LOOK LIKE?

A thorough medical history and consultation with the attending physician will help to individually select the best way to prepare for the procedure. A CBCT and a panoramic X-ray are essential for evaluation.

WHAT IS THE METHOD OF INSERTING ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS?

It is an alternative method of prosthetic rehabilitation that avoids surgical treatment - that means, bone grafts. Then, there is no need to perform sinus lifting. Zygomatic implants are inserted at a high angle into the zygomatic bone. Immediately after that, they can be loaded with a temporary bridge (which is not always possible). Implants integration takes place after about 4 months - then the final prosthetic reconstruction, i.e. bridges and crowns, can be applied.

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS OF INSERTING ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS AND WAYS TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEW SMILE?

For patients who didn’t have the conditions for standard implants, it causes the restoration of chewing and smiling function. Patient should appear for a check-up at least once a year.
