TYPES OF TEETH WHITENING
Whitening is a chemical process in which undesirable tooth color is removed by oxidizing the molecules responsible for discoloration.
There are 2 basic types of teeth whitening: tray-based whitening and faster, in-office whitening.
TRAY-BASED WHITENING
Tray-based whitening is carried out by the patient at home. Patient on his own chooses time of the day when the whitening will be performed.
The first step of preparing patient for whitening is taking impressions in order to make special, individual splints in the prosthetic laboratory. After making splints and checking whether they fit perfectly to the patient’s teeth, doctor gives the patient those splints, whitening gel and detailed instructions on how to use them. Doctor supervises the whitening effect during the follow-up visit, which is planned immediately after the end of home whitening.
BENEFITS OF THE SOLUTION

Once the whitening of the dead tooth is completed, a permanent filling is placed. Number of patient visits with this type of whitening ranges from 2 to 4 visits. Their number varies from individual recommendations for each patient and is determined directly with the doctor.
