BONDING

Almost all of us would like to be able to show a phenomenal, glamorous white smile off. This is fully understandable. Healthy and beautiful teeth are our business card and can significantly improve our mood, as well as add self-confidence.
Unfortunately, not everyone was equipped by nature with flawless and snow-white dentition. However, aesthetic dentistry comes to the rescue, and with it bonding – a procedure that corrects various defects of the teeth. At Dental Fraternity, we use so-called nanocomposites for bonding. They are made of nanoparticles that are smaller than the particles used in traditional composites. As a result, they allow for a perfect fit and leveling the gap between the tooth tissue and placed filling. In addition, the nanocomposite restorations are characterized by high strength, low abrasion, and a highly aesthetic visual effect.

BONDING, IN OTHER WORDS COMPOSITE TOOTH RESTORATION.

Bonding is a non-invasive method of aesthetic tooth restoration. We use nanocomposite resins to make it possible to get rid of unsightly stains, brighten the color of teeth, replenish abrasions, chipping and chips, and even close diastemas.
The effect is achieved immediately, but it is temporary (bonding durability is estimated at 3-5 years). Before bonding, the teeth must be cleaned of decay and the periodontium must be healthy. The procedure is completely painless. A more durable and natural-looking alternative to bonding are porcelain veneers.

BENEFITS OF THE SOLUTION

Reduction of tooth damage: cracks, chippings, splinters; elimination of discoloration; improvement and unification of tooth color; elimination of curvatures and irregularities; alignment of shorter teeth with longer teeth; giving teeth the desired and aesthetic shape; elimination of diastema

FAQ

WHAT ARE THE PRICES OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED SERVICES?

The cost of composite tooth restoration is between 800-1000 PLN per tooth.

HOW LONG DOES THE BONDING EFFECT LAST?

Durability of bonding effects depends on many factors, including: quality of materials, dentist's skills, patient's lifestyle, oral hygiene and individual characteristics. It is therefore worth remembering that the results of the treatment are not permanent, and composite materials can be damaged and discolored after some time. For this reason, the effect of bonding is limited and usually ranges from 4 to 5 years. After this period, it may be necessary to perform the procedure again.

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS TO PERFORMING BONDING?

Like almost every procedure, bonding cannot be performed in several cases. First of all, there is one prerequisite for restoring teeth with resin composite - healthy teeth. Main contraindications for bonding are: tooth decay, gum and periodontal disease, bruxism, malocclusion, severe teeth damages.

BONDING, VENEERS OR WHITENING?

Bonding is a way to quickly restore teeth with moderate degree of damage. However, it should be remembered that composite materials after a certain period of time get easily damaged and look less aesthetically pleasing, in contrast to porcelain veneers, which are applied permanently and are characterized by greater durability and resistance to damage. Although the price of bonding is lower than the price of porcelain veneers, in the long run the cost of making and maintaining them is comparable. For example, the durability of porcelain veneers is estimated at 15-20 years, while the durability of a composite filling is up to 5 years (which means that bonding is replaced 3-5 times more often to maintain the effect of a dream smile). In addition, by choosing porcelain veneers, we can achieve an extremely natural effect, because porcelain, due to its translucency, is the best imitation of natural tooth enamel. Bonding, just like whitening, additionally gives the opportunity to change teeth color, but in case of second option, it is not possible to rebuild the tooth crowns.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF BONDING?

Bonding is a procedure thanks to which we can very quickly and painlessly, significantly reduce and mask the defects of our teeth. In addition to its advantages, this technique also has disadvantages, mainly: limited durability of the procedure due to crumbling, discoloration and damages of the composites; the need to repeat the procedure to maintain the effects; susceptibility to food dyes. In order to prolong the effects, it is necessary to regularly polish the teeth in the dental office.
